The Power Of Positive Thinking...

Does not translate into motivation in the workplace for me. Oh, I'm still happy , but I'm still not motivated to work.

It's been 2 hours since I returned from lunch and I've done all of the following, except real legitimate work:
  • Attempted 5 times to get started on a gnarly file. FAIL.
  • Went to the far break room to get water.
  • Went to the bathroom, just to go.
  • Tried to engage my co-workers into workplace shennanigans. No dice.
  • Got up to go eat a cookie that I brought in for everyone else. Took the last one.
  • Talked on the phone with my hubby.
  • Wrote my personal to-do list.
  • Got all ready to start a different file, and could not put my pen to paper.
  • Looked at Jasmine Star's year in review.
  • Found a recipe for a Valentine desert that I've been commissioned to make.
  • Surfed the web. A. Lot.
  • Checked the clock every 5 minutes, hoping that I was miracously stuck in some type of weird time trap, and it would suddenly show 4:55 p.m.
  • Pondered how to make tiny fondant hearts.
  • Found a recipe for Irish Soda Bread.
  • Remembered that I really need to send my Nana her bell (she collects them and has hundreds!) that I bought her in Vegas.
  • Freaked out because my face started tingling again. Started thinking that I must have MS. Talked myself off the ledge and accepted that my face does this when I get adjusted. (Went to the chiropractor during lunch)
  • Took a picture of my massively unorganized desk. Which I have no plans to fix anytime soon. Appearance is everything.

Enjoy this fine day! Tonight is Modern Family!
